Maintenance is crucial at Linde and Bill runs the department. On a given day he’s busy sending mechanics out on field repairs, setting up jobs with the right equipment and acquiring new equipment. “If we don’t own the right machinery for a job, I find it, acquire it, and if necessary rent it.” says Bill.
My job is to identify problems before they happen, find a solution, and make sure Linde is out in front of it. Ensuring we are prepared for whatever obstacles any job can present, and preventing them from occurring whenever possible, is what allows Linde to get jobs done right and on time. That's my focus, and well, I enjoy it!
He started as a mechanic, worked through shop foreman and has only gone up from there. Bill says “Linde is a player in some big industries. Taking on challenging jobs at the scale we are operating at means there is always something different each day, and new hurdles to overcome. I'm up for the challenge.”
